These are the activities not included under other community participation registration groups. They allow the providers to find innovative ways to work with the participants and enable them to access mainstream activities such as community events and programmes. Our Community Engagement Practitioners are prepared to guide the participants in innovative ways in building their capacity, confidence, and resilience.
Innovative community participation services include the following:
- Workshops on employability skills
- Mentoring and Peer Support for handling challenging situations
- Participation in community events, public forums and/or advisory groups
- Assistance and support for project management or business ventures
- Classes and workshops to learn new skills or craftworks
- Teaching and raising awareness of social norms and socialising skills
- Discovering new networks and discovering suitable opportunities for involvement
